Israeli Forces detain 18 Palestinians in West Bank raids

Israeli forces detained overnight 18 Palestinians, including at least two minors and a disabled, during raids into several West Bank districts, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society.

Israeli police detained four Palestinians from Jerusalem. They were identified as Khaled Shawish, Sami Abu-Rumeileh, 15, Adham Abu-Nijmeh, and another unidentified Palestinian.

Police also detained six Palestinians from al-Judeira and Beir Nabala towns, northwest of Jerusalem.

The detainees were identified as Dhiaa Shehadeh, 20, Rashad Barjas, Muhammad Barjas, both 19, Tareq Barjas, 17, Muhammad Zeidan, 24, whose father, Nizar, is sentenced to 37 years in Israeli imprisonment, and Khaled Zeidan, 50.

To the north of Jerusalem, in Ramallah district, forces detained Jamil Tayim, Mahmoud Saleh and Muhammad Kan'an, all 20, after storming and ransacking their houses in Turmus'ayya, northeast of Ramallah city.

To the south of Jerusalem, forced detained Imad al-Faqih, 23, who is blind and deaf, and Odai Taqatqa during raids into Bethlehem district.

Meanwhile, three Palestinians were detained from the northern West Bank district of Nablus. They were identified as Munir Abbad, Saleh Abbad and Waddah Alayyan.

This came as forces detained six other Palestinians from Jerusalem, Hebron and Tulkarem.

This brought the total number of Palestinians detained overnight and Tuesday evening to 24.
