Jerusalem - Arab Today
Israeli forces Thursday overnight detained a Palestinian and shot and injured four others during an extensive raid into Abu Dis and al-Eizariya towns, southeast and east of Jerusalem, said Palestinian medics.
Large Israeli troops raided the Jerusalem towns, breaking into and ransacking the interiors of several houses and commercial stores, reported Palestinian WAFA news agency, adding that forces also stormed a number of black smithy workshops and a carpentry shop, inspecting and wrecking havoc into their interiors and detaining a Palestinian, who remained unidentified.
During subsequent clashes, forces opened indiscriminate fire, stun grenades and tear gas canisters.
Palestinian Red Crescent medics said that 12 Palestinians were treated for excessive tear gas inhalation and four others for being hit with live ammunition and rubber-coated steel bullets.
