Israeli forces open fire at farmers southern Gaza

Israeli forces on Sunday opened fire at a group of Palestinian farmers east Khan Yunis, southern Gaza strip.

No injuries were reported.

The shooting comes a day after a "relative calm" on the borders of the besieged strip.

Last week, security deteriorated after Israeli tanks crossed into Gaza in search for tunnels, prompting a respond by the Palestinian resistance which fired mortars to repel the Israeli attack.

Since Wednesday, Israeli forces have launched 17 air sorties against several targets in Gaza.

On the other hand, 40 mortars have been fired from the Palestinian side.
