Israeli forces shell eastern Rafah

Israeli troops resumed shelling the Gaza Strip Thursday which created tension and escalation on the borders between the enclave and Israel.

The Palestinian resistance responded by launching mortar shells.

Some local sources said that the Israeli warplanes raided agricultural lands in eastern Rafah and southern the strip, while no casualties were reported among Palestinian citizens.

The Israeli artillery shelled a monitoring point affiliated to Al Quds Brigade, which is the military wing for Islamic Jihad, in eastern Rafah.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian resistance responded by launching three mortar shells and 107 rockets.
