Israeli forces target fishermen

Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday opened fire heavily on a number of Palestinian fishermen off northern Gaza coast.

The Israeli gunboats fired against Palestinian fishermen within the permitted fishing zone of six nautical miles forcing them to flee to the shore, according to Palestinian local sources.

No injuries were reported, added the sources.

Israeli forces have repeatedly opened fire on Palestinian civilians near the border since the ceasefire agreement signed August 26, 2014 that ended a 50-day war between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement.
