The Israeli occupation forces opened fire heavily at residents' homes and farmlands in northern the Gaza Strip on Thursday.

The troops stationed in watchtowers on the border line opened their machine gun fire at farmers and Palestinians' houses, local sources said.

No injuries were reported, they added.
