Tubas - PNN
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Monday morning have demolished about ten facilities that include tents, barns and residential structures in the Khillat Khader community in Al-Farisiyya area east of Tubas district, northern Jordan valleys, under the pretext of “no building permit.”
According to the head of the local council of al-Maleh area, Aaref Daraghmeh, Israeli troops and tanks on Monday morning have stormed the community and demolished ten structures including tents which are home to at least four families made up of 20 people.
This is the second time these structures are demolished by IOF within the past month of February alone, as IOF demolished five structures two weeks ago.
Within the past quarter of the year, IOF have already demolished more than 130 facilities on and off.
Three weeks ago, Israel announced the confiscation of 1,540 Dunams (380 acres), of land near Jericho in the Valleys,” adding that the lands are in the final stages of being declared state lands.”
This seizure is the largest appropriation in the West Bank since August 2014.
Daraghmeh said that the local council has called on international associations to provide the families with new tents, and asked for protecting Palestinians from continuous illegal Israeli demolitions.
