Forty Israeli soldiers along with a group of extremist settlers stormed on Sunday al Aqsa mosque from al Magharba gate, under the protection of Israeli police.

They took provocative tours of Islam's third holiest site, according to Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The occupation troops searched Muslim worshipers before entering the mosque and confiscated IDs of Palestinian youths.

Separately, Israeli forces carried out an incursion into northern Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.
