An official at the department of Islamic endowments Rami el Khateb said Sunday that Israeli settlers stormed Al Aqsa Mosque in the morning and afternoon of Sunday.

About 64 settlers stormed the mosque and five of them tried to perform the Talmudic rituals, el Khateb was quoted by Sky News as saying.

The Israeli forces evacuated them from the mosque and detained them, he noted.
