Jordanian King Abdullah II met on Thursday with a delegation of the defense subcommittee of the US House of Representatives’ Appropriations Committee, led by Rodney Frelinghuysen, currently on a visit to Jordan as part of a regional tour, Petra News Agency reported.Talks during the meeting dealt with means to forge closer ties between Jordan and the United States as well as efforts of the members and committees of the US Congress in this regard to help Jordan address challenges posed by regional crises.The two sides reviewed efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East, the crisis in Syria and international efforts to achieve a political solution.
