Tripoli - MENA
Forces of the Libyan army have expelled fighters of militias from an area in the eastern city of Benghazi, said a military spokesman.
"The troops launched a fierce attack with heavy and medium weapons against Ansar Sharia and its pro-armed group around camp 319," said Meloud al Zory.
The camp was attacked by the army on Sunday to liberate it. The assault set the site ablaze.
No casualties were reported among the army forces, according to the spokesman.
