An Egyptian military analyst said on Saturday that Russia's renewal of the production of its Tu-160 (Blackjack) supersonic strategic bomber indicates its desire to be the powerful magnet that have the ability to face the United States.
General Mahmoud Munir Hamid told Sputnik International that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia gave up building the high cost armament systems and moved to build defensive and strategic missile systems and ground-to-ground missiles.
He pointed out that Russia has adopted a "return policy" to be a powerful magnet in the face of the US.
Russia announced on Wednesday that it will renew the production of its Tu-160 (Blackjack) supersonic strategic bomber and missile carrier.
