Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday vowed to strengthen settlements following Sunday night's murder in Otniel of Dafna Meir, said the Jerusalem Post.
Speaking before a meeting with Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, Netanyahu said that the terrorist who killed Meir, who he pointed out raised six children with her husband, will be apprehended and pay the price for his crime. “Anyone who tries to harm us will be brought to justice,” he said.
After expressing condolences to Meir's husband, Natan, and the entire family, he said “the people of Israel are aching with you.”
Netanyahu said he spoke to Yohai Damari, the head of the Hebron Hills Regional Council. “I asked him to give strength to the residents, and I said we will strengthen the communities.”
