The Palestinian Foreign Ministry described on Wednesday the Israeli settlement policy as a war crime against the Palestinian people and territories.

In a press release, the ministry called on the international community to stand up to such policies.

It also criticized an Israeli plan to establish 6,150 settlement units in occupied East Jerusalem.

The Israeli settlement activities contradict with international law and international humanitarian law, especially the 4th Geneva Convention, the ministry added.
