Israeli attacks on al-Aqsa

Chairman of the Awqaf Council in Al Quds Abdel Azim Salhab has criticized the silence of the world community toward Israel's practices against Al Aqsa Mosque.

Speaking to Sky News Monday after Israeli troops stormed the holy mosque, Salhab said: "For the second day in a row the Al Aqsa Mosque was stormed by Israeli police and extremist Zionists."

The Israeli troops used different types of weapons, whether stun grenades, tear gas bombs or rubber bullets, Salhab said, adding that five persons were injured.

The repeated infiltration of Al Aqsa is a dangerous indicator of Israel's plan to control the mosque and end the Hashemite supervision over it, he warned.

The Israeli troops stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque Sunday and attacked worshippers.
