Israeli security forces shot dead a Palestinian man over an attempted stabbing against Israelis at a busy intersection near a West Bank settlement on Tuesday.

The assailant was shot dead as he wielded a knife in the attempted stabbing at Gush Etzion junction in the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Meanwhile, a group of Israeli settlers stormed into Aqsa Mosque under Israeli security forces protection.
