A Palestinian woman was shot dead by Israeli occupation troops in the southern West Bank city of Al Khalil (Hebron) on Friday under the pretext of attempting to carry out a stabbing attack.

Israeli media outlets said that the Palestinian woman approached a military checkpoint at the entrance to Al Haram Al Ibrahimi in Al Khalil city and attempted to stab an Israeli soldier.

Another soldier opened fired at her, killing her on the spot.
