Amman - Arab Today
The Palestinian National Council (PNC) on Sunday said peace, security, and stability in the Middle East would be achieved only by ending the 50-year Israeli occupation, and establishing a Palestinian independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
In a statement, the council added that the Israeli policies did not undermine the Palestinians' firm belief in their absolute right to restore their land.
It called on the international community and its relevant agency to end the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine, implement the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy, especially the recent resolution 2334, and put an end to Israel's settlement policy on the territory of the Palestinian state.
The statement said al Quds (East Jerusalem), with its Christian and Islamic holy sites, is the eternal capital of the Palestinian people.
It called for continuing Palestinian struggle with all forms against the Israeli occupation.
