More than 46,000 refugees have fled strife-torn South Sudan into neighboring Uganda since last month, the Uganda Red Cross said Sunday. According to dpa, most refugees were living in two transit camps in north-western Uganda in the border towns of Adjumani and Arua, the Red Cross said. The conflict in the world's youngest nation broke out last month when mutinous soldiers loyal to former vice president Riek Machar rebelled against President Salva Kiir's government. Thousands of people have been killed, and more than 200,000 displaced.
