The South Korean Navy will conduct large-scale naval exercises in the Yellow Sea on June 14 commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Pyongyang battle which took place June 29 in 2002. In June 2002, North and South Korean naval vessels waged a battle near the southern Pyongyang Island on the northern border where six South Korean soldiers were killed. The Korean navy said that aircraft and ships equipped with exploratory rockets will take part, adding that the exercises will include anti-submarine firing.
