South Korea again called on the North Monday to accept its proposal to hold high-level inter-Korean talks amid heightened bilateral tensions over Seoul's joint military exercises with Washington and Pyongyang's military threats to counter them.
A week earlier, South Korea proposed that the two countries hold high-level talks on Tuesday to discuss a possible reunion of families separated by the 1950-53 Korean War and other mutual issues.
