Israeli air raid sirens were heard on Tuesday in Ashdod and Lakhish after a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip exploded near Gan Yavne, Sky News satellite channel reported.

The Israeli army revealed in early May that a rocket was fired from the strip, targeting Eshkol settlement.
