Stabbing operation near Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem’s Old city

A young Palestinian man on Friday afternoon was arrested suspect of stabbing a 30-year-old Israeli settler near Jaffa Gate, in Jerusalem’s old city, Israeli media report. 

According to the Israeli occupation forces (IOF), the settler was lightly wounded and taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

After initial reports stating that the Palestinian man manage to flew the scene, the IOF and Israeli police closed all the main entrances to Jerusalem’s Old City and started a manhunt across the area. 

After arresting three Palestinian men, according to the Israeli police, they manage to locate the real suspect with the assistance of CCTV cameras that caught him hiding in one of the alleys of the Old City. 

The suspect was a 19-year-old resident of the occupied West Bank. His identity remains unkown.
