The U.S. Army has allocated THAAD missile defense systems to be deployed to South Korea in the event of emergencies, a news report said Monday.
The continental U.S.-based THAAD systems will be deployed "within hours" from their base at Ft. Bliss, Texas, aboard C-17 Globemaster III military transport planes, the Defense Update reported, citing an unidentified South Korean military source.
