The US is spending "roughly" USD 7.5 million a day in military activities since mid-June, Pentagon Spokesperson John Kirby noted on Friday.
"That's based on a snapshot of the operations that have occurred as of the 26 of this month," he said to reporters.
The operation is being funded out of the US' Overseas Contingency Operations fund to which Kirby affirmed, "we're well within our limits in that regard." "The situation on the ground there continues to change" and "as it continues to change so too do the kinds of plans that Central Command planners are working on," he added.
