Egyptian footballer Ayman Ashraf expressed his pleasure for transferring to Egyptian football team of Al Ahly, saying that he returned to his house. He stressed that it was the hope of his father and he is extremely happy for achieving it.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that he received a large number of offers whether from Egyptian teams or others, while he decided to sign for Al Ahly. He stressed that he is proud to join Egypt’s major team. He stressed that he aspires to meet the expectations of the team’s fans not only in Egypt but also in the whole Arab world.
He stressed that the negotiations between his team and Al-Ahly started since January, saying that the officials of Al-Ahly were keen to contact with him in the beginning and then they contacted with Smouha’s officials to include the player during the coming season.
He added that he did not provide any conditions to return to his team, saying that it is the dream of each Egyptian player to join Al Ahly. He expressed his keenness to take a place in the starting-line team with his new team during the coming period.
He added that he is keen to gain the confidence of the coaching staff, saying that he received a number of phone calls from the team’s coach Hossam Al-Badry to praise his performance with Smouha and demanded his to exert more efforts during the coming period.
He is thrilled for the fans’ trust in him, and he dedicated the award to his colleges and Coach Hossam Al Badry for helping him improve and score goals.
He said he is trying hard to make the fans happy and exert great efforts to win more championships for the club, adding that, he is still has a lot to offer. Al Ahly made a great start in the African Championship League by winning the match against the Zambian team, Zanaku, aiming to win the title and participate in World Cup.
