Hamdaoui has previously played for Tottenham Rabat - Redouane Mabchour Moroccan international Mounir el-Hamdaoui may be on his way out of his current club, Serie A's Fiorentina. British newspaper the Daily Express has reported that el-Hamdaoui is on Liverpool manager Brendan Rogers' "shortlist" of players to nab this summer. "The Reds boss is targeting four signings ahead of next season as he bids to push the club towards Champions League qualification, with a playmaker among the areas set to be strengthened," the Daily Express writes. According to the Express, this shortlist also includes Valencia's Algerian star Sofiane Ferghouli, Ajax's Christian Eriksen and Frenchman Hatem Ben Arfa at Newcastle. The 28-year-old had joined Fiorentina due to recurring problems with manager Frank de Boer at his former club Ajax Amsterdam. He signed a three-year contract with Italian outfit. Hamdaoui has also played for Tottenham, before moving on to join AZ Alkmaar, with whom he won the Eredivisie title. He was the Dutch league's goal scorer of the season in 2008-2009 and played for the Netherlands' youth national team before opting to represent his native Algeria in the first team in 2009.
