Gedo celebrates goal against Blackburn

Gedo celebrates goal against Blackburn Hull - Arabstoday Egyptian forward Mohamed Nagy Gedo continued his fine goalscoring form for English Championship side Hull City, guiding them to a 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday evening. Gedo's fellow Egyptian teammate Ahmed Elmohamady was also on target for the Tigers, as they kept up the pressure on league leaders Cardiff City. Gedo made it three goals in as many games, when he side-footed Stephen Quinn's cross past Blackburn goalkeeper Jake Kean, seven minutes into the second half. The promotion-chasing club doubled their lead when right wing-back Elmohamady scored a superb volley in the 67th minute, connecting with Robert Brady's cross at the far post. Egyptian defender Ahmed Fathy, who joined Hull alongside Gedo from al-Ahly last month, came on as a late substitute. Gedo, 28, had already scored in Hull’s 2-1 win over Derby County and netted the winner in their 1-0 victory over Charlton Athletic, before last night. Hull are currently second in the Championship table with 62 points, five behind leaders Cardiff City who have a game in hand.
