Cairo - Mohamed Hussein
Egyptian Coach Ahmed Hossam Mido of Egypt’s Wadi Degla expressed his frustration over the loss of his team during the first round of Egyptian Premier League against Al Masry, saying that the team’s performance did not meet his expectation during the first half.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that the players were keen to improve their performance during the second half, while they failed to score. He blamed the lack of experience of his players for the defeat in the beginning of the Egyptian Premier League.
He stressed that his team is able to win the coming matches and to take a leading position in the league this season. He stressed that the players and coaching staff will work seriously this season to win one of the leading position in the Egyptian league qualifying them to participate in one of the continental championships during the coming season.
He stressed that the players need to perform more matches together during the coming period to achieve harmony, saying that it is not logic for the team to depend on young players at the expense of the experienced players that the board of the team was keen to buy in coincidence with the beginning of the new season.
He added that he will work during the coming period to create a mix between young and experienced players, stressing that he will depend on young players reminding of the statements he made last season that they have a number of young players who will perform a major role with the team during the current season.
