Algerian striker Rafik Djebbour Algiers -  Khaled Alloush English Premier League club Newcastle United have made a bid for Algerian striker Rafik Djebbour, according to reports in the Greek press. The Olympiacos frontman, top scorer in the Greek Superleague last season, recently turned down a move to English Championship club Nottingham Forest. Forest said the 29-year-old refused to take part in the full medical, while the player himself denied that an agreement had been reached. \"I have several propositions and give myself some time before making a choice,\" he tweeted. The former AEK Athens star publicly declared his intention to leave Olympiacos last month, after having spent eight seasons in Greece. The Algerian international was a long-term target of Turkey\'s Bursaspor, but the club\'s management pulled out at the last minute, citing problems with the player\'s attitude. Djebbour enjoyed short spells at Ethnikos Asteras and Atromitos in Greece, before making his name at Panionios, AEK Athens and Olympiacos. The forward has netted 39 times during the last two seasons the the Greek champions. Newcastle boss Alan Pardew told the Evening Chronicle newspaper he wants to sign two strikers in this transfer window. The club\'s recently-appointed Director of Football, Joe Kinnear, returned from holiday on Monday.
