Abdulrahman has scored 21 goals for al-Ain Abu Dhabi - Arabstoday A senior official at Manchester City has revealed that the club is keeping tabs on UAE youngster Omar Abdulrahman. The English Premier League club's Football Administration Officer, Brian Marwood, has described the 21-year old attacking midfielder as "a real talent." Speaking to Sport360, Marwood said: "We had seen him at various tournaments but obviously we saw him closer to home at the Olympics and he did very, very well. I think he enjoyed the experience, we enjoyed having him with us. He is a very talented young player." Abdulrahman, who currently plays for UAE Pro League side al-Ain, spent two months on trial in Manchester last year. Marwood said the club would continue to monitor the player's progress, despite potential work permit issues if the Eastlands club made its move. "There are some real challenges getting a player like him to be able to play in England which is very frustrating because it’s one that we would seriously look at," he added. According to reports, several clubs are interested in signature of the Emirati footballer, including the likes of Valencia, Benfica, Arsenal, Barcelona, Malaga and Hamburg. Abdulrahman has played 53 matches for al-Ain and scored 21 times. Manchester City is owned by Sheikh Mansour’s Abu Dhabi United Group.
