At least one person was killed and three critically injured following an explosion at a fireworks factory in central Italy, authorities said Thursday. Several people are reported missing, the Italian news agency ANSA reported. The blast, heard miles away, also damaged two homes and sparked a fire in the nearby town of Citta Sant\' Angelo near Pescara.
