 Two have died, including a 10-year-old child, as a result of a fire that broke out in the wee hours of Monday morning in Mabela, officials announced. Four more were injured in the blaze.

The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) rushed to the scene and doused the fire. 

"At 3.23 am, firefighting and ambulance teams in the Muscat Governorate dealt with a fire at a house in south Mabela," PACDA said.

The fire resulted in two deaths, one of which was a 10-year-old child, and the second was a domestic worker. In addition, four people were rescued from the fire, and are currently in a stable medical condition.
