A bar fight led to the shooting deaths of two people and injuries to three others in the historic section of Sacramento, police said. Between fireworks shows in Old Sacramento, a historic district crowded with families and entertainment on the evening of New Year\'s Eve, an argument in a sports bar led to one person drawing a gun and firing, police said. A patron, 35, and a bar employee in his 20s were shot and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A woman, 30, and a nearby security guard who rushed to the scene after he heard gunfire, were also shot, the Sacramento Bee reported Tuesday, noting the security guard also shot the alleged suspect. The suspect, wounded and still armed, ran from the bar and into the crowd, pushing families and baby carriages as he ran down the wooden sidewalks of Old Sacramento, the report said. He was immediately apprehended by police, the newspaper said. The midnight fireworks show was postponed due to the incident, but took place at 8 a.m. Tuesday. The unidentified suspect was arrested and hospitalized. No report of the conditions of the other people wounded was given.
