At Least Three people were killed and several others were injured Friday when a strong explosion hit the Dorowa area at Jalingo, Taraba, eastern Nigeria, state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Amos Olaoye said. Sources at the federal medical centre of Jalingo said three people were brought to the hospital dead, according to local media. Among the injured, 12 people were said to be in critical condition. Officials refused to give more details on the incident. Earlier in June, an explosion in the same area happened, however, no life losses were reported.
