Three people were killed Wednesday in south India as the country was celebrating the yearly Holi or festival of colors, said police. In the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, a youth drowned in a well while a six-year-old boy drowned in a water tank when they were bathing after celebrating Holi, during which all people were smeared with colors on their faces and bodies. A youth was killed after a truck knocked him down. Usually people also get drunk during the celebration, dating back thousands of years according to Hindu mythological tradition.
