Three Russian nationals aboard a Greenpeace ship when it was seized last month will be detained until trial, a Russian court ruled Tuesday. Yekaterina Zaspa, the ship\'s doctor; Andrei Allakhverdov, a Greenpeace spokesman; and Denis Sinyakov, a freelance photographer, had asked for release on bail or home arrest, RIA Novosti reported. The Russians were among 30 people of 18 nationalities on the Arctic Sunrise icebreaker arrested by border guards in September after several activists attempted to climb onto a Russian-operated oil rig in the Pechora Sea. All of those arrested have been charged with piracy. Another Russian national, activist Roman Dolgov, was due to appear in court Wednesday. Greenpeace Russia said it would appeal the detentions to the European Court of Human Rights if the Russian court did not release them.
