A 60-year old gunman killed at least four people and injured two others and fired at police late Wednesday in separate shootings in two New York state villages, spurring an intense manhunt, authorities said.New York State Police Superintendent said the first shooting took place at John’s Barber Shop on Main Street in Mohawk. Two victims died at the scene.The shop’s owner and a customer were wounded and in critical condition at area hospitals.Authorities said the suspect was Kurt Myers, who has lived for years in Herkimer and Mohawk, two villages on either side of the Mohawk River, about 80 minutes west of Albany, the state capital. Law-enforcement officials described Myers as armed and dangerous, and warned residents to stay inside.
