An accident at Russian energy giant Gazprom's largest field in Siberia slightly injured at least eight workers, the local Emergencies Ministry said Wednesday. The accident at the Bovanenkovo field natural gas blew out the roof and wall panels of a workshop but didn't start a fire, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported. Emergency workers described the incident as an "uncontrolled boom" that occurred during the installation of equipment at the giant gas field on Russia's Yamal Peninsula. Gazprom started production at the Bovanenkovo field in October.
