At least 18 people were injured when two passenger trains collided on the northern outskirts of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia on Monday morning, police said. An earlier report from the police said that four people sustained injuries in the collision when an international train travelled from Ljubljana to Kranj and crashed into a parked passenger train at the Vizmarje train station at about 07:45 am, lcoal time, 06:45 GMT. Police uplifted the injuried from 4 to 18 in the latest report, adding that the injuries are not life-threatening. Kranj is about 30 kilometers north of Ljubljana. and it was reported that the train from the capital was directed on to the wrong track, A cargo train collided a passenger train in August, 2011 near the Jesenice train station, some 65 kilometers northwest of the capital of Ljublajana, injuring 26 people.
