A Briton and his son were killed while hiking in the French Alps, the Press Association reported Sunday citing French police. The British Foreign Office confirmed the deaths of two Britons. The 48-year-old man called for help Saturday after his son, 12, plunged down a cliff near Mont Blanc, police said. Emergency services in Chamonix then tried to trace the call and launched a helicopter rescue. Their bodies were found Sunday, dpa quoted the report as saying.
