German Police Officials said sixteen people were injured when a crane carrying them on a viewing platform during a festival at a school collapsed. The injured were pupils, parents and teachers attending a celebration to mark the completion of several projects at a school in the town of euenstadt am Kocher. The crane had been brought in so people could enjoy a view, SA Breaking News reported. The deputy schoolmaster and a woman are reportedly in a grave condition after the Saturday accident. While a further four people were reported to be in a serious condition. Five children were also among those injured. Those seriously injured police said were transported to hospital by helicopter. According to police the crane hit a residential apartment building as it collapsed, but said no one inside was injured. The reason for the collapse remains unclear.
