The death toll has climbed to six and 22 people were injured when a freight train derailed in southeastern Mexico early Sunday, local authorities reported. The train, known as \"The Beast,\" went off the tracks around 3:00 a.m. (0900 GMT) in the town of Huimanguillo, southeastern Mexico\'s Tabasco state, before it approached the state of Veracruz, said a local official of Tabasco, Cesar Burelo. Burelo said more bodies could appear as the structure of the overturned train is removed. Ambulances are beyond reach as the accident site is far from any road and Burelo said the injured were taken to a hospital in the neighboring state of Veracruz by boat. Officials said 250 to 300 migrants were aboard the train and the cause of the accident was not known yet. Many Central American migrants had been traveling via train to cross through Mexico by jumping aboard under the cover of darkness and then emigrate illegally to the United States.
