A female doctor in northern China was killed Thursday by an ax-wielding man in her clinic, officials said. Kang Hongqian, who was about 40, was attacked and killed in her clinic on the second floor of the No.1 Hospital Affiliated to the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China\'s official Xinhua news agency reported. The alleged attacker, whose name has not been released, jumped out of the building after the assault and wounded himself. He was in police custody. Authorities said they were investigating to determine why the doctor was singled out for the attack.
