President Lee Myung-bak left for Mongolia on Sunday, embarking on a three-nation trip to Central Asia, a region that is rich in resources and business opportunities and carries strategic significance as a bridge between Asia and Europe. Billions of dollars worth of gas field development and plant construction deals as well as other economic cooperation agreements will be signed during the six-day trip that will also take him to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan later this week, officials said.
