Mexican Interior Minister Francisco Blake Mora was killed along with seven of his aides when a helicopter

Mexican Interior Minister Francisco Blake Mora was killed along with seven of his aides when a helicopter crashed south of the capital yesterday, Mexican Presidency sources announced.

Blake Mora, 45, was traveling to Cuernavaca city, 90 kilometres south of Mexico City, for a meeting with judicial officials when his jet crashed.

Mora's death came a week after the third anniversary of the death of former Interior Minister Juan Camilo Mourino in a government Learjet crash which killed eight also.

On the anniversary day last November 4, Blake posted a twitter message in which he said: "Today we remember Juan Camilo Mourino three years after his passing, a human being who worked toward the creation of a better Mexico."
