Over three thousand people have had to be taken to hospital in Russia’s Far East as a result of continuing floods, Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova told the media on Saturday. Most of the patients are suffering from aggravations of chronic diseases and light injuries. “Three thousand and twenty five people, including 631 children, have required hospital treatment. Most of them suffer from stress, aggravations of chronic diseases and light injuries,” Skvortsova said. In all, medics at field hospitals in the affected regions have examined 37,145 people, including 10,065 children.
