Passengers disembarking from a disabled cruise ship after three days at sea without power described hot and uncomfortable conditions today. The Costa Allegra, which was left without power and air conditioning after a fire, docked today in the Seychelles. American Gordon Bradwell said he and his wife ate cold sandwiches for three days and moved their bedding on to the deck to escape the stifling heat indoors. Eleanor Bradwell said the initial response to the alarm seemed to be disorganised but overall she and her husband felt the shipping line had handled the emergency well. Dozens of officials flocked to the port of Victoria to help passengers ashore. Some of them applauded as the ship approached land.
