The death toll in the crash of a bus loaded with teachers and doctors in Peru rose to at least 33 with 10 others injured, authorities said. Henry Rebaza, manager of Health Freedom, said there were officially 45 people registered to be traveling on the bus, which plummeted more than 650 feet down a mountainside into the Moche River Saturday, El Comercio reported. Survivors said there were actually more people aboard, the newspaper said. Some passengers may have been swept away by the river current.
