Five members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were killed during a military operation in the Turkish southeastern province of Chernak, Turkish chief of staff announced.
According to a statement issued by the Chief of Staff on Wednesday, teams of the Gendarmerie Command and the Security Directorate in Chernak spotted a group of gunmen in Ogul village and an air raid was launched on the region based on information received, killing five PKK elements.
The statement added that security operations against PKK are continuing in the region to pursue these elements.
